Singapore Management University Administration BuildingSingapore Management University is the administrative heart of the University. Designed as an icon for the SMU campus, it is intended to reflect the quality of the institution itself. As such, an architectural emphasis on the public space and surrounding spaces was considered as a key to the design conceptualization. The podium being designed as a glass veil to the major hall volume inside, expressing the dynamic nature of the facility both internally and externally. This is further emphasized by the shell from protruding through the podium roof. |

Kent ridge drive for NUSMochtar Riady Building, located on a prominent 5000 m2 site along Kent Ridge road will become the iconic gateway to the larger school of Business schools. As such, its design is reflective of the school’s international statue and its aim to be the best of its type in Asia. The most striking feature of the new building is the series of structural interventions in the façade. The triangulated yet organic column forms sprout from the ground and punctuate the variegated flat-glass sheet façade. The rationalization of the facade represents the waving form of the reeds “blowing in the wind” while the glass changes it appearance in the light from refractive to reflective or transparent. While the columns’ appearance is dominant, they will appear to move throughout the life of the facility, “blooming” into a landscaped rooftop garden. |

Assumption Pathway SchoolThe new Assumption Pathway School aims to provide a new image and identity for the new school. The project site is located along 622 Upper Bukit Timah Road, which is also shared by the existing Assumption English School and the Boys Town. The design aims to conceive an intriguing and innovative architectural expression to evoke the creativity senses and engage the interest of the students and teachers. Communicative and interactive spaces are integrated to create a highly extrovert environment. Movement, Activities and the vibrancy of the school curriculums are expressed within the educative environment. Spacious floors, yet compact, enhance socializing and interactions amongst the student and staff. |
